The case against a former York County little league baseball coach will move forward.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office arrested Shawn Tenkley, 41, in September and charged him with 27 felonies related to alleged sexual acts with a child.
This week, a grand jury certified four charges of "carnal knowledge of a child," according to online court documents.
He will be back in court for a plea hearing next month, on April 13.
At the time of Tenkley's arrest, York-Poquoson Sheriff J.D. "Danny" Diggs tthe charges stem from a series of incidents reported to have happened in York County between January and April.
He said Tenkley is known in the community as a little league coach, but he said the victim in this investigation is neither a family member nor a member of a Little League team.
While this appears to be an isolated incident, Diggs said he is not ruling out the possibility of more victims involved in this case at this time.
