JUSTIN STEELE PLAYING CATCH DAILY

Chicago Cubs left-hander Justin Steele (forearm) is playing catch every day and progressing well, according to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com. Manager David Ross told reporters on Tuesday that his target date to return is June 17. Steele landed on the injured list after suffering forearm tightness during his last start on May 5. Before the ailment, the 27-year-old was a Cy Young candidate, pitching to a 2.65 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 21.4% strikeout rate over 68 innings with a 6-2 record. Fantasy managers will want Steele back as soon as possible, so this is great news.
