YANKEES PROVIDE UNFORTUNATE AARON JUDGE INJURY UPDATE

Days after he made perhaps the catch of the season by running through the outfield wall at Dodger Stadium, Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is now headed to the injured list.

The reigning American League MVP will head to the IL after being diagnosed with a contusion and a sprain of the ligament in his big toe, Yankees manager Aaron Boone announced on Tuesday.

Judge made the jaw-dropping during Saturday’s 6-3 win over Los Angeles. This will be Judge’s second stint on the IL this season after missing 10 games earlier with a strained hip. Since returning, Judge hit .325/.457/.855 with 13 home runs in 23 games. He has 19 homers and 40 RBIs in 49 games on the year.

This is a breaking story. Check back for updates.
