CHRIS PAUL REVEALS THAT HIS DAUGHTER GETS TROLLED IN SCHOOL BECAUSE HE'S NEVER WON A CHAMPIONSHIP

NBA players perfect their craft to achieve a number of goals over the course of their careers. The ultimate championship for every single player in the league is to win a championship. Some succeed but many don't.

Chris Paul is one of the greatest players to play that doesn't have a championship to his name. With the Suns' recent struggles in getting past the second round, Paul revealed his daughter has been bullied at school over his lack of championship success.

"It's tough on me but I think it's especially harder for the people around me. My wife is the one that has to deal with the late nights, the 'I can't sleep'. My daughter is the sweetest soul you'll ever meet in your life. She's at the age now where at school kids talk crazy to her. She had a little boy at school that said some reckless stuff to her was like, 'Your daddy ain't never gon' win no championship.' My baby, she's so special. She held it together then but when she got to class, she called, and she was upset. I had to have that conversation where I told her, 'Babe, some people talk, other people do.' It's tough man, but nobody can be harder on me than I am on myself."

That is quite heartbreaking to hear. Paul's daughter should not have to be subject to this, especially given Paul's status as a future Hall of Famer. Regardless, everyone knows that all CP3 is fighting for at this stage of his career is a championship. Not being able to win one will be tough to reconcile with.

Can The Suns Contend Once Again?

For a team with no depth and no continuity, the Suns did really well to get to the second round of the playoffs and take Denver to six, given how they swept the Lakers in the next round. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker's offensive wizardry lived up to the hype. Now they need to fill in the gaps.

Defense is a big need for this roster and Deandre Ayton might be the trade piece they look to offload to get that. Wing defenders come at a premium and there are no really obvious candidates that the Suns have enough assets for to try and acquire. Hopefully, trades around the edges of the roster with one big move can be enough of a swing.

Paul could also be on the trade block himself, so this Suns team could look very different by the start of training camp for next season.
