Kevin Durant could be making his return to the Phoenix Suns next week.
According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Durant is progressing toward a return on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The former MVP hasn't played since March 5th, as he sprained his ankle after slipping on the floor before a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder two days later.
The sports world is reacting to Durant's potential comeback.
"NBA might be done for," one fan said.
One Timberwolves fan responded to the news with "We ready," and a video of Wolves star Anthony Edwards.
"Probably a good idea for Durant to sit out an extra game so he doesn't get embarrassed by Jaden," said another Timberwolves fan, hyping up defensive stopper Jaden McDaniels.
"Just in time for a few last regular season games," one fan said. Durant has only appeared in three games for Phoenix after being traded to the Suns at the deadline. The Suns are 3-0 when Durant plays.
Durant is looking to establish chemistry with his teammates before the playoffs, as he's still relatively new to the Suns' roster. The Suns are right in the mix in the West, as the 4 seed - meaning they would host a playoff game if the season ended today.
