Carolina Panthers has secured the return for the 2025 NFL season of a former Super Bowl champion with the Los Angeles Rams, alongside star quarterback Matthew Stafford.
The Carolina Panthers strengthen their roster for the 2025 NFL season as they begin making moves in the offseason. Leaving behind a disappointing campaign is no easy task, so the front office has secured the return of a former Super Bowl champion with the Los Angeles Rams, who was once a teammate of quarterback Matthew Stafford.
A 5-12 record shattered Carolina’s hopes of a deep run last season, which is why the organization wants to retain the positive aspects of the roster while trying to improve performance in the upcoming season. After all, a player with a Super Bowl title can bring valuable experience to the team.
The former Super Bowl champion with the Rams who has been re-signed by the Panthers is none other than safety Nick Scott, who will sign a one-year deal with the Carolina franchise and continue to be a key piece, just as he was in the previous edition of the league.
Scott had already been with the Panthers last season when he signed a one-year contract on March 22, 2024. During that period, he played in 10 games, starting in four of them as a safety. He also contributed as a special teams player for Carolina.
In addition to being a potential high-level player for Carolina, Scott has shown composure in the NFL when he was part of the Rams‘ Super Bowl LVI championship team alongside quarterback Stafford. In that game, the Los Angeles team defeated the Cincinnati Bengals.
The 2025 season will mark Scott’s sixth year as a professional in the league. His career began in 2019 when he was selected by the Rams in the seventh round of the draft. The safety played four years for Los Angeles before spending a season with the Bengals, eventually establishing himself as an experienced player in Carolina.
